Durham Walker Fitzgerald was one of three sons of Shipbuilder, Durham Walker, and his wife Mary Agnes Fitzgerald (nee Foreman), who attended the High School and who served in WW1, the other two being Arthur Foreman Fitzgerald and Harold Snowdon Fitzgerald .

Durham and Arthur joined the High School on the same day in 1887, Harold three years later.

Durham had joined at the early age of 6, and left in 1894 at the age of 13 to join his older brother at Clifton College.

He served with the Royal Ordnance Corps, and the school records show that he was 2nd Lieutenant.

Durham survived the war and became a fruit farmer.

When his father died in 1925, Durham was one of the executors to the £96,000 estate.

Durham himself died on 18-Dec-1956, in Evesham, Worcestershire.
