Son of Pharmacist, John Noble, and his wife, Emily Hannah Russel Noble, Bemjamin Bell Noble joined the High School in September, 1897, at the age of 9.

He left 9 years later to go to Durham College of Medicine and, after graduating, became a doctor.

He served in the Royal Army Medical Corps in France, as Lieutenant and then Captain, and was injured in August, 1916.

After the war, he continued as a doctor in Choppington, Northumberland, and retired in July 1958.

He was living in Rothbury when he died at the Minories Nursing Home in Newcastle at the begining of 1960.
