Cecil Bamford Williamson was the son of pharmaceutical chemist, Bamford Williamson, and Annie Williamson, and one of four brothers who attended the High School.

Three brothers (Alan, Kenneth & Cecil himself) served during and survived the war.

The fourth brother, Ronald, was only 9 when war broke out, but went on to be a Flight Lieutenant with the RAF.

Cecil joined the school in 1898 at the age of 8, and left in 1912 to board at Mill Hill School, North London, which he left in 1914.

He served with the Royal Engineers (Tyne Electrical Engineers) as a 2nd Lieutenant.

After the war he trained to be a Dental Surgeon, with his practice in Cheltenham.

Cecil died in a motor-cycle accident between Evesham and Chelmsford in 1942.
