The Mikado - March 1971
The second joint venture with the Girl's Grammar School
Produced by Keith Trewhitt & Clarice Tunnard
23-26 March 1971
The Show The Cast

After the success of "the Pirates" in 1969, the boys once again joined with the girls to produce another Gilbert and Sullivan - this time, "The Mikado".

It was apparently a little fraught - a rail strike delayed the delivery of the costumes and props, and Janet Low was ill for the first two performances. Her older sister happened to know the part, and so stepped in at the last minute.

The after-show part on the last night was held at St Simon's Church Hall.

There is a gallery of photos from the dress rehearsal.
